Celebrations...

Some people just love to celebrate; they love to celebrate anything and everything, they love to celebrate when they are in high spirits, they love to celebrate when they are not. They actually don’t need a rationale to beat the drums and pull the strings; probably because there life in itself has become a celebration.

Imagine long working hours under the scorching sun, whole day you are either busy beating the blazing iron with all the strength of your body and soul or pulling the threads to knit some piece of cloth, and then catching a local train drowned in the seas of people and traveling on your toes (if lucky enough…) to cover a distance of 30-35 kms, what would be the level of your energy? Probably zero!

If you think so then you seriously need board a Mumbai local…

After going through such a painful routine, the celebrators in the train are full of energy, they bring out their drums and sing, and sing in rhythm, and sing with incredible energy, so much energy that everyone else in the bogey flows with the rhythm, with the energy floating around, with the beats and falls in love with life.

But why the hell they sing? They sing to express reverence to the almighty, they sing because they are grateful, they are grateful because the sun rises and the flowers bloom and the birds sing and the rivers flow, they are simply grateful because there are mountains and streams and animals and human beings. These vivacious and lively people create a psychedelic ambience in the train and help everyone forget their pains.

And when you get down at the station, you will be left happy enough to celebrate the rest of your life, and the train will leave with a beautiful thought in your mind…

“You have little time to live so keep drumming, and sing, for you got a chance to stride with this incredible and colorful existence. Keep celebrating.”
